Welcome to Game Dispatch!

The following Game Dispatch Community Guidelines should not only help you understand how to act within the community but also help you understand what to expect from others in this space. 

Community Guidelines

Overview:
The goals of this community are to provide a platform that allows community members to find and/or post gaming and game related topics that stimulate interest and enhance involvement with the Game Dispatch website.
In order to meet the goals of this community, it's important for members to feel like they are in an environment that is populated by people with shared interests. As such, we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines that follow.

Guidelines:

1. Respectful Behavior:

• Users are expected to treat each other with respect.  Engaging in personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, trolling, or any form of abusive behavior is not allowed.
• Offensive language, hate speech, personal attacks, name-calling, or inappropriate content (including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.) will not be tolerated.
• Users are encouraged to engage in constructive discussions and resolve conflicts peacefully.

2. Appropriate Content:

• Users should post content relevant to the forum's purpose, which is centered on video games/gaming.  Use the appropriate forum for the content that you wish to post.
• The sharing of illegal content, including pirated games, hacks, or any other form of copyright infringement is prohibited.
• Posting explicit, adult, defamatory, indecent, offensive, profane, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful, threatening, or sexually suggestive content is not allowed.
• Regarding spoilers - users are required to use appropriate tags or warnings when discussing plot details or game endings.

3. User Conduct and Responsibility:

• Users are to maintain a single account and not create multiple accounts or impersonate others.
• Users are encouraged to report any violations or suspicious activities to the moderators or administrators.
• Users are expected to maintain their account credentials securely and avoid sharing personal information.

4. Moderation and Enforcement:

• Game Dispatch moderators and administrators will read and review complaints/reports; and it is under their authority to enforce the community rules in a consistent and timely manner.
• Consequences for rule violations, can include: warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
• If a user believes they have been wrongly penalized they may appeal to an administrator by emailing webmaster@gamedispatch.com.

5. Advertising and Spam:

• Unsolicited advertising, including the promotion of unrelated products or services is prohibited.
• Spamming, posting promotional material, or posting links to third party websites is not permitted.
• Excessive self-promotion by users is restricted, and contributions to the community should focus on specific board topics.
• Users should not post repetitive, irrelevant, or disruptive posts/replies.

6. Privacy and Security:

• Game Dispatch forum's privacy policy regarding user data collection and usage is posted and is included in the registration process.
• Users are expected to maintain their privacy by not sharing personal information openly.
• Sharing malicious software, phishing links, or any content that compromises the security of users' devices is strictly prohibited/not tolerated and is cause for a permanent ban.

7. Miscellaneous:

• Users that post in multiple languages should ensure that all readers can understand and respond appropriately.
• Users are encouraged to use descriptive titles, proper grammar, and avoid excessive use of abbreviations or acronyms to improve readability.

Consequences:

We will take action when we see someone violating these guidelines. Sometimes that just means giving someone a warning; other times it means revoking certain privileges or accounts entirely. We request that all community members report behavior that violates our guidelines to webmaster@gamedispatch.com.

Agreement:

By logging onto the community and activating your profile, you are considered to be in agreement with the terms and conditions listed above.

We reserve the right to delete comments at our discretion and block any repeat offenders. We WILL remove content that is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading.

Respect that other people in the community have had different life experiences and may have a different perspective to yours.

Reminder: The Game Dispatch community is a public place. Don't post personal information that you would not be comfortable sharing with a stranger. We also recommend that you don't post any information that may identify you or anyone else, such as your address, email address or phone number.
